3D Fan Art inspired by StarCraft
Despite being a recreation of a character design by Blizzard, because the first StarCraft game is over 15 years old, I choose to rework the design of the original model. I took inspiration from multiple sources, from revamped official design to other’s fan arts and used elements I like from each of thoses in order to come up with a singular design I liked.
This particular model was the first time I created normal maps for one of my model. While it wasn’t a particularly resounding success I learned a lot in the process, on why and when to use normal maps and which tools and workflows are better suited.
